Thermo mug, thermos flask, or maybe a thermo bottle?

The increasingly colder autumn weather makes us look for ways to make the mornings on the way to school or work more bearable 😊 One of such solutions is to “arm ourselves” with a mug, thermos or thermal bottle that will allow us to take our favorite warm drink with us. So what to choose and which model will best meet our expectations?

Choosing the right thermo mug is not easy considering that there are so many designs, brands and models. How to get the best out of this huge sack? We advise!

  1. Large, medium or small?

The first and most natural parameter is capacity. Compact thermo mugs typically hold 350 ml of drink. On the shelf with the large ones, we can find 500 ml and even larger ones. Someone might say that models with a capacity of more than 600-700 ml are no longer mugs but thermoses, but for example, SMILE’s offer includes handy and very practical thermoses with a capacity of 350 ml, i.e. a small thermal mug.

The size and capacity are best suited to the circumstances in which we will use a mug, thermos or bottle. If it’s a quick way to work by car, it is worth choosing a smaller model that fits the handles in the car. If it is a longer journey by communication, a slightly larger mug, thermos or bottle will be better, preferably with additional amenities in the form of, for example, a non-slip coating that will allow you to hold the cup securely in a gloved hand.

  1. Thermal isolation

The meaning of their existence 😊 They are supposed to keep the temperature of both hot and cold drinks well. Although at this time of the year mugs, thermos flasks and thermo bottles are associated primarily with warming drinks, it is worth remembering that in summer they can be a great way to take something cold and refreshing with you. But to the point. Depending on the model and design, mugs, thermoses and bottles keep warm and cold from a few to several hours. In our products, we decided to design the walls with the use of a vacuum, thanks to which, for example, our thermal bottles maintain the temperature of hot and cold drinks for up to 12 hours. It is similar with thermos flasks. The SMILE thermal mug will keep the drink warm for up to 8 hours, cold for up to 12. These are better parameters than most similar models available on the market.

  1. Tightness is essential!

Coffee spilled in my backpack? Tea leaking through the cork? Droplets of drink accidentally landing on a snow-white shirt? No, no and no more. Thermal mugs, thermos flasks and bottles must be tight in order to fulfill their role well. So that you can put them in a bag without fear of spills and take care of other matters. When inventing and designing our thermal mugs, thermos flasks and bottles, we pay special attention to this and do not spare our products during the testing phase. Thanks to this, we are sure that they will be perfect for everyday use.

When buying a new thermal mug, it is worth paying attention to whether drinking from it is simply convenient. As many manufacturers, so many systems, so there is a lot to choose from. It is important that the mouthpiece can be opened with a natural finger movement, and at the same time that it is hygienic and without touching the surface we cover. We always take these two aspects into account when choosing the right spout, stopper or closure. For example, in the STT-1/1 model, with one finger movement, release the lock and open the cover “popping back” to the rear. Underneath it is a comfortable, ergonomic mouthpiece, designed to minimize the risk of burns. We also close the cup with a movement of one finger.
